Deep tissue massage
A deep tissue massage can be extremely beneficial and often helps alleviate muscular aches and pains. We use similar methods as those found in classic massage, however, deep tissue massage uses slower movements and deeper pressure in concentrated areas of pain. Often adhesions, or painful bands of tissue, occur in the muscles, ligaments, and tendons, which can block circulation and cause pain, restrict movement, and create inflammation. A deep tissue massage breaks up the adhesions, giving relief from pain and restoring mobility.
Tui Na massage
Tui Na, which literally means “push and grasp”, is basically a sequence tapping and kneading in order to help remove blockages in the meridians and stimulate Qi and blood flow in the body.
When accompanied by massage and other Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques, the main purpose of Tui Na is to establish Qi and increase the body’s ability to heal itself.
